This was one of the first flash games I ever played back in 2005, when my friend introduced me to this site. It obviously hasn't aged well at all, but it gets points for nostalgia, and the fact that it's super wacky and doesn't take itself seriously unlike the source material we all know and love (or hate, whatever floats your boat).

But 2005, man... that was like half my life ago by now...

I remember playing this a long time ago and loving it. Vandread is still one of my favorite 2000s-era anime, and this game answered many of my personal wishes (i.e., getting to bang Barnette in addition to the main 3 girls). Many of the flaws about it, which other people have pointed out (whether constructively or not), I can honestly forgive. It might not have aged all that well, but this game still remains quite a treat if you're a fan of the anime and you want to insert yourself into the Nirvana... as well as into the girls.

I hope that one day, provided enough resources and manpower, VLQ may get a remake.

the best ive seen

without a doubt one of the best flash games ive played in years, the lack of audio notwithstanding. so i figured i would put on the right music, say, some smooth jazz lol.

i bet the sequel will be made of moar epic win, just like this one.

This song definitely belongs in a film soundtrack. The timbre of all the sounds perfectly matched the intended image of an ice cavern. It also brought to my mind a sense of reminiscence or nostalgia, like rediscovering a time capsule you'd long since forgotten about. I hope to hear more abstractly beautiful tunes like this one from Arvilius in the future.

soundtrack

this sounds somewhat like Soul Calibur music. I love how the song flows from quiet to loud and back again and is overall a somber yet hopeful melody.
